TAG AND LABEL MERGES INTO SOUTHERN LABEL COMPANY
Birmingham,
AL June 14, 2008 Southern Label Company,
Birmingham, AL is pleased to announce their merger
with Metro Tag and Label Company, Amityville,
NY. All operations of Metro Tag will move to the
Birmingham manufacturing facility by the end of
June. The combines 110 years of printing expertise.
Both companies produce printed labels for customers
all of the world.

Southern
Label meets with
DuPont Chairman Chad Holiday
Chad Holliday,
Chairman and CEO of DuPont Corporation, held a
roundtable meeting with key customers to discuss
future plans for his corporation. DuPont has moved
from being strictly a chemical company to a science-based
products and services company. They support Southern
Label by producing raw materials, primarily graphic
grades of Tyvek. Walter Bailey and his daughter
Anne were hosted at the 755 Club at Turner Field
by the DuPont leader for an afternoon meeting
and reception.
Following an overview presentation, and question
and answer discussion, the SLC team had the opportunity
to review their new growth product concepts with
Mr. Holliday. As a preferred printer and distributor
of DuPont Tyvek, Southern Label has developed
new products to complement their Gussetfuff and
Tuff Tape line of products.
